Motionless In White

As you may or may not know, Motionless In White is one of my very favorite bands ever.
Everything about them really appeals to me in every way. So, I'm a very dedicated fan.

I really love MIW, because they mix so many different elements into their music. And it works well, too, which is the amazing thing.
Also, they are metalcore, but they are set apart from other metalcore bands by their gothic image and lyrics. The thing I love so much about them is their lyrics. They are so meaningful to me, because I can relate to everything they're saying. It makes me feel as if the song is written for me. And when a band makes you feel that way, you know they're a good band. That, in a sense, is what every band should be trying to accomplish. True empathy with their fans. Once you achieve that, you can pretty much do anything. Also, being very interactive with fans. Their song "Creatures" was actually written by fans.
A lot of goths don't like them, because their music isn't "goth." Well, who fucking cares what the genre is?? That doesn't matter! If you enjoy it, then you enjoy it. Regardless of the genre.
They even say that they are influenced by many goth bands such as Bauhaus, The Smiths, and The Misfits. And their lyrics are totally goth oriented. They sing about horror movies and the dark and macabre. So, why do so many goths hate on them?
I think it's because there have been babybats who say, "I'm so goth, I listen to Marilyn Manson and Motionless In White." This can really annoy a lot of goths, because, their music isn't goth. But even then! Who cares! If you think that MM and MIW are goth, then go ahead! Whatever makes you happy. Honestly, both of the groups' style is goth, so maybe they meant it in that sense.

The first MIW song I ever heard. I can't remember when I first listened to them, to be honest. I don't even know what song of theirs was the first I listened to. It was probably Immaculate Misconception. I don't know. I just remember it was like a year ago.

MIW has changed so much over the years. Like, if you listen to stuff from The Whorror, and compare it to Infamous stuff, it's so crazy how far they've come. Now, when I first discovered them, it was in early 2012, so Creatures was pretty new. I found them from just browsing music on Spotify. And over the years, they've just become a part of me.

The Whorror

Their sound was more of a punky-emo vibe back then. Don't get me wrong, some of the stuff was really good in creating the foundation for MIW, but a lot of it is much different from where they're at now.
My favorite song of the EP is definitely Schizophrenicannibalsexfest.com. Yep, that's the name of the song. Chris's voice sound so different than it does now.

When Love Met Destruction

This EP is super good in their rise to fame. Everything is so much more solid and defined. Also, their first music video: Ghost In The Mirror, gave the world a taste of their style.
Also, Billy In 4C Never Saw It Coming is a good song, especially with title. Oh, and the title has nothing to do with the song, though it is a funny reference to one of my favorite movies. (Dumb and Dumber)

Creatures

So, this is the album that really got them to the top. Every single song is perfect in every way, and I'm gonna have a hard time not talking about every single one.
This was their first actual full length album, and they nailed it. With 4 of the songs made music videos, it really did them justice in showing the world their message.

Immaculate Misconception

I still get chills every time this song comes on. It is so powerful and pumps me up.
At first, you may think the lyrics are bashing Christianity, but actually, they are talking about how many people who are Christians can be such fake pieces of shit.
The music video is great, it starts with them walking through the streets, and all these Christians are there with signs that say stuff like "Repent Or Die" or "Burn In Hell," and this fat guy, who's pissed, spits blood all over Chris's face. And from there it just goes crazy. Watch the video.
It really speaks to me because I, myself get a lot of prejudice from Christians especially about the way I dress, when really, they don't know me at all. Instead, they judge me for how I look to be a mean, angry, Satanist. When really, I am an extremely talented musician, and I have a lot in store for me in the future.

We Only Come Out At Night

I forgot to mention earlier: So, when I first started learning how to scream and do death metal vocals, MIW was one of the bands I first would sing/scream to. And this was one of the main songs I'd do in my garage.
This song is really good, especially the lyrics (again). It's about vampires. Legends of the undead rock.

Abigail

This song was my jam when I first heard it. Still is.
The music video is beautiful as well. Chris looks amazing in it as always.
It's basically about the book The Tempest. I've never read it, but I have to next year for English.
(Speaking of books, we're gonna read Of Mice And Men in my English class next week, and I'm gonna be like "I love that band" but sadly, the people in my class aren't all that intelligent or have good music taste, so nobody will know =()

Creatures

Ah, the title track. And a good one at that. A lot of times, the title track of an album isn't that good, but that is not the case here! The lyrics were actually written by fans. I don't know exactly how that worked and how they did it, but it worked well!
The music video is one of their best (as they all are). It takes you to the dark places of people's minds, and shows that no matter how a person looks, you never know what goes on in their head. For example, there's a little girl that talks to the devil and says prayers backwards.

Infamous

This is a good one, too! They continue to push themselves to the next level, and it gains them so much respect and love from the fans.
I was soo excited when this album came out!! I'm even excited talking about it.
This album is really new, it came out a few months ago.
I'm not gonna go over songs, because I did that in another post: So, what's with the new music these days?
So, go check that out to see a description of most of the songs from this album.
Also, go listen to this album, please. I beg you. You will not be disappointed.

Well, that's all I have to say about Motionless In White for today. They are very special to me; I will always love them I think.
Go listen to their music, watch their music videos, buy merch. Just love them. I mean, I don't know who wouldn't love them, they're so amazing.
